Bestie Guestie - smoothies

Hi Kitty Readers ! 

You may or may not know that my best friend, Pearl is the Smoothie Queen so I thought it might be fun for her to share some of her smoothie tips and recipes . 

Today I have Pearlie as a guest on my Blog ! 




Lets get started . 


The Health Nut - 



Heres the first smoothie that we like to call the Health Nut . 

- I n g r e d i e n t s - 


- celery 

- carrots

- beetroot 

- apple 

- a squeeze of lemon 

Method - 

Combine all ingredients as you add water to the blender . Add a large squeeze of lemon . You can also add Coconut water or a touch of organic pure apple juice.


The Tutti Fruitti - 



These simple ingredients form a delicious refreshing smoothie thats nice and healthy and great to replace breakfast or afternoon tea . 

- I  n g r e d i e n t s -  

- fresh strawberries

- kiwi fruit 

- squeeze of lemon juice 

- milk or almond milk 

O p t i o n a l - 

- maple syrup or organic honey 

- the smallest drop of vanilla extract 

- a few fresh mint leaves 

- replace the milk with apple or pineapple juice (no added sugar) and add ice 

Blend all ingredients until forms a thick liquid . Serve and enjoy . 

The Berry Surprise - 




I n g r e d i e n t s - 

- handful of frozen or fresh  berries 

- 1 banana 

- a handful of frozen or fresh mango 

- 1 cup of milk or almond milk 

O p t i o n a l - 

- vanilla extract 

- dash of honey or maple syrup 

Blend together until well combined and turns a pinkish colour . 



The Naughty Treat - 


I n g r e d i e n t s - 

- 1-2 bananas 

- 1 small scoop of dark chocolate ice cream 

- some sprinkles 

- milk or almond milk  

- vanilla extract 

Blend all ingredients together . Enjoy with a piece of cake or a biscuit. 


The Health Booster - 




This smoothie is super healthy and delicious . 

I n g r e d i e n t s - 

 - coconut water 

- cucumber 

- kale / spinach 

- celery 

- banana

- lemon 

- ice 

Pearl recommends a very fine blend on this smoothie and nice and cold and liquidy - sometimes green smoothies are better enjoyed when they are not too chunky.



Smoothies should be enjoyed with fun straws. You can get these at Typo, Little Paper Lane, Party Shops and places like KMart and Target. You can also get eco straws too which you don't throw out and they made of glass or metal (stores like Biome sell these) 

Smoothies are even more fun in mason jars, mini milk bottles or even cleaned out old jam jars. Good old normal glasses are fine too.
