Roomspiration - pillowcases + DIY

Hi Kitty Readers !

Today I would like to introduce a new series to my blog ! Its called 'Roomspiration' and its all about how you can inexpensively decorate your room !

My first post in this series will be about how you can make your bedding look interesting and fun with pillowcases !

If you can't afford a whole new bed set and your bed is looking a bit bland, consider purchasing an amazing pillow case like the ones in the collage below. I think even having a nice plain white doona cover is fine but you may as well add some colour with your pillow cases !

Banana pillowcase ~ castle and things // raindrop & triangle ~ cotton on home // watermelon ~ I love linen // dots ~ i love linen // pompom frill ~ I love Linen // plus signs ~ Ora home // hello ~ teapea NZ // fairy bread ~ six things shop //

For other cute pillowcases you can also try places like Gorman, Adairs, Citta Design and Bed Bath N Table. Country Road have some very cute pillowcases at the moment too - the green pears are so cute.

I just l o v e those shop bought pillow cases and have quite a few for my room  but remember ! If you can't buy it, just make it !

I made a pillow case using Posca pens , ( remember : you could use fabric paint or fabric markers ) a cloud template  that I free hand drew and cut out ( you can use anything as a template or just free hand ) and a plain pillow case ( I got mine from Spotlight for $4)

Simply trace around template onto the pillow case and iron it so you can wash the pillow case .

Here is my finished cloud pillow case (I wanted a really simple design) along with some of my favourite pillowcases from Castle & Things and Cotton On .

I hope you enjoyed this week's post .

Stay tuned for more Roomspiration series posts in the future !

Thanks for reading !
