Melbourne

Hey everyone!

Last weekend I had a quick family trip to Melbourne where I explored laneways and the wonders of the city, strolled through Brunswick St, Fitzroy, ate the most delicious and beautiful dishes, visited family and explored the book and record shops.

Here are some snippets of my trip:

Our Place:

We stayed in an Air b&b on Brunswick St and it was so cute and cosy.Brunswick Street is such a vibrant and energetic area, I just love it.

Shops:

Milk & Sugar ( pictured above ) was the most wonderful, aesthetically pleasing little shop, with each shelf and surface packed with pastel goodness.

Definitely check it out if you are in Fitzroy.

We went to a little shop in the city that sold socks, jewellery, watches and other accessories and here is a photo of their huge sock pile... so cute!! I bought a cute pair with pears all over them.

Arro Home ( pictured below ) is a homewares store by Beci Orpin which I have chatted about a few times on this blog- was one of my absolute favourite shops that I visited, bedding and homewares to purses and pouches, Arro was so gorgeous.

Arro happened to be having an end of Lease sale on when I was in there so I purchased a double sided doona cover ( pictured below ) and I love it sososo much.

We visited a lovely florist in Fitzroy and it was packed with colourful flowers.. so beautiful.

Other favourites included: Emporium in the City - what a beautiful shopping centre, MUJI for it's wonderful and simple Japanese products, Marrimeko (I wanted every mug) and COS for simple clothes with beautiful colours (lots of peach and grey)

What I ate:

Here are some of my favourite meals that I had in Melbourne.

I had a 'Milk Cow' Ice cream in the city and it was SO good... the shop was adorable (pictured below) and the soft serve came with a fairy floss umbrella!

We went to the Kettle Black and it was so amazing and photogenic. I had the hotcakes and they were covered in nuts, berries, ricotta, edible glitter and edible flowers.. the presentation was incredible. The Kettle Black is the most amazing cafe, beautiful interiors and the outside was so cute and the architecture was amazing. See below.

I made a last minute trip to N2 gelato before we left and it was so delicious, I had chocolate flavour and it came with a syringe of chocolate and thin waffle discs with a thin coat of melted chocolate on top.

I also had delicious vegetarian Indian, beautiful banana French toast and delicious pasta.

What I bought:

-Milk & Sugar pouch + peach bowl + marble coaster

-Muji Cleanser and toner

- Out of my mind and The Other Side of Summer books

Watercolour thin aqua brush

- Honey Trap Lush lip balm

- Coming up - Paul McCartney -single vinyl

Thanks for reading this week's post, where is your favourite place to go on holiday?
